This is a large painting, inspired by memories of being on Langkawi Beach in Malaysia. 

I have used the needles of the sea pine trees (mixed with Acrylics creating a beautiful texture) that I collected on the beach by the Andaman sea. This species of willowy evergreen tree are also known as Casuarina Tree or, more popularly, Sea Pine Tree. These Casuarinas are dotted along the beach.
